Ruth Caldwell, one of our nurse practitioners, is currently serving our country in Afghanistan as part of the Army Nurse Corps. She is helping to treat children who are injured because of the war. To perform emergency treatments, the children often have to have their clothes cut off. Because of this, those children who do recuperate don’t have any clothes to go home in.

As a show of gratitude for the men and women serving our country and to support these children who so desperately need our help, we have decided to hold a clothes drive.

What is needed (no black or dark blue; these are Taliban colors and are not worn by children):

  • Flip flops
  • Plain t-shirts
  • Sweats

We will be collecting these items in our offices until July 3, 2014.

We also welcome any notes of encouragement that you would like to send to Ruth. Please contact us with any questions and thank you so much for your support.
