Is Your Child Sick?

Find Resources on Developmental Milestones on the Utah Valley Pediatrics Website

4 Month QuestionnaireVisit our website to find a variety of resources to help you know what to expect as your child develops. These resources will give you a general idea of how your child should be developing, but it is important to remember that every child is different and you should not be worried if your child is developing at a different pace in some areas.

However if you notice major differences between your child's development and what is suggested or if your child is behind on several of the milestones, talk to your pediatrician. Your pediatrician can also address any questions or concerns you might have.

Your Child's Growth: Developmental Milestones
The American Academy of Pediatrics has provided parents with a list of developmental milestones divided up according to age from three months to six years.

Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) and Age Appropriate Activity Sheets
The ASQ is a screening tool used to identify developmental delays in infants and young children during the crucial first five years of life. Parents complete a 30-item questionnaire that asks about a child's progress in five key developmental areas – communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social skills.

The ASQ:SE is a screening tool, meant to be used in conjunction with the ASQ, to identify the need for further social and emotional behavior assessment in children from ages 6 to 60 months.
