After Hours Care

A Pediatrician is available each evening,
weekend and holiday

After regular office hours, URGENT medical service can be obtained by calling your pediatrician’s usual office number.

A pediatrician is available each evening, weekend, and holiday. We rotate this responsibility among our pediatricians in the area. When you call the office of your child's pediatrician, your call will either be routed directly to the pediatrician who is on-call or you will hear a recorded message giving you the number to call to reach the after hours pediatrician.

Our After Hours Care hours are as follows:

Provo, Plaza, Orem, and Timpanogos Offices
Monday-Friday: 4:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sunday and Holidays: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

American Fork Office
Monday-Friday: 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (after 12:00 p.m. by appointment)
Sunday and Holidays: By appointment

Payson Office
Monday-Friday: 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

During After Hours Care, your child will usually be seen in the office of the pediatrician on call. This service can help you avoid the higher costs of emergency room care and assure that your child is seen by a qualified pediatrician.

Calls made after this are usually screened by a pediatric nurse. Please limit calls made after our After Hours Care hours to true emergencies that cannot wait until the following morning. Because our regular office staff is not available after hours, calls about routine appointments, billing questions, prescription refills and NON-ACUTE (NONEMERGENCY) problems should be reserved for our regular office hours.

In the best interest of your ill children, we prefer not to call prescriptions to pharmacies without first examining the patient.

The cost of After Hours Care is the usual office charge plus whatever after hour charge your insurance plan may require. Please bring your current insurance information and cards with you.
