Drawn to pediatrics by a love of children, Cherie has extensive experience with newborns from her time working in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Beyond babies, she says she also loves working with and communicating with school-aged children.
Though her fascination with the science of the body drew her to nursing, a favorite part of her job is watching her patients grow and seeing their personalities develop.
As a mother of two girls, she says one of the best perks of being a nurse is being able to treat her kids when they are sick.
Her philosophy on working with children is simple. “Just show you care and have fun,” she says.
While her hobbies are reading, movies and spending time with family, she admits that a great deal of her free time is actually spent cleaning the house.
Cherie is fluent in Spanish.
Cherie secretly hates running but enjoys Zumba and yoga. She also claims to be an expert-level sleeper, when allowed.
