As everyone knows, Utah has consistently had one of the highest birth rates in the country. With children’s immune systems at their most vulnerable in the first year of life, what can parents do to ensure newborns are getting a healthy start on life?
Utah Valley Pediatrics is launching a new series of discussions called Talk With A Doc: Preparing For Your New Baby. These events are designed to help expecting mothers to keep their infants healthy.
The inaugural event is happening on Wednesday, September 25th at 7 p.m. in the Utah Valley Pediatrics’ Spanish Fork office. We will schedule subsequent events in our other UVP offices.
Free to expecting moms and dads, Dr. Scott Stroshine will answer common newborn questions, like “How soon can I take my infant out into public?” and “What is normal sleeping for a newborn?” He will also identify signs of critical health issues every parent should be aware of, including SIDS, weight loss, difficulty breathing, high temperatures, rashes, and color changes.
Attendees can expect free refreshments, giveaways, and an office tour. There will also be a lactation specialist on hand to answer questions.
RSVP now by calling 801-922-5200 or by visiting our Facebook event.
