Although many people use their inhaler on a daily basis, did you know that many of them aren’t using it properly?

Inhalers are used to deliver medication directly to the inflammation in the lungs instead of having it travel through the bloodstream. But if you are using the inhaler incorrectly, you aren’t getting the right amount of medication to your lungs. Not getting enough medication makes it harder to control your symptoms and puts you at a greater risk of an asthma flare up.

These videos from the Utah Department of Health Asthma Program show how to use an inhaler properly.
