Color Changes

Your baby may develop a blue or purple color of the hands and feet, or on the lips and around the mouth.

This occurs when your baby is cold or crying, and is more common in the first few days before she is feeding well. This is normal and should improve with calming or warming your baby. If the baby has a blue color inside the mouth or on the face or chest, then call your doctor.
